How long is my bathroom out of use?
A full refit is typically two to three weeks on site depending on the size of the room, whether the layout is moving, and how much making-good the house needs. Moving the WC or soil stack adds time. We give you a realistic sequence up front so you can plan around it.
Can I change the layout of my bathroom?
Usually, within limits. Moving a basin or bath is generally straightforward. Moving the WC depends on where the soil stack is and what the floor structure allows. We survey before quoting so the layout we price is one that can actually be built.
Do you supply the bathroom or do I?
Either. Plenty of clients choose their own suite and we fit it; others prefer us to specify and supply. If you are buying your own, we will tell you what to check before you order, because some fittings that look fine online do not suit the room or the pipework.
Do you do the electrics and tiling too?
Yes. Electrics, plastering, tiling and flooring are all part of the same managed job rather than separate trades you have to coordinate. Note that we do not carry out gas work.
Is a wet room a good idea in an older house?
It can be, but it depends on the floor structure and the fall you can achieve to the drain. A suspended timber floor needs different treatment to a solid one. We will tell you honestly if a level-access wet room is not the right call for that room rather than building one that will cause problems later.
