If you are paving over five square metres of front garden with a non-permeable surface, planning rules generally require the water to drain to a permeable area or soakaway rather than the public sewer or road. We design falls and drainage to keep you compliant, and can install permeable block paving where appropriate.

The main factors are the area, the amount of excavation and waste removal, the block you choose and any drainage or edging work. We price each job individually after seeing the site.

An occasional sweep, an annual wash and topping up the jointing sand when needed keeps it looking sharp. Weeds are easily managed and any stained or damaged block can be lifted and replaced.

Properly compacted kiln-dried sand and a sound sub-base greatly reduce weed growth. Most weeds arrive as windblown seed on the surface rather than growing up from below, so they wipe out easily.
