How deep should fence posts be set?

As a rule, at least a quarter to a third of the post should be in the ground and set in concrete, typically around 600mm for a standard fence. Exposed or taller runs go deeper for extra stability.

Which fencing lasts longest?

Good pressure-treated timber with concreted posts and gravel boards lasts many years, while composite fencing lasts even longer with minimal upkeep. We will recommend the best option for your budget and boundary.

Who owns the fence between two properties?

Ownership is usually shown on your title deeds, often marked with a T. We are happy to build to the boundary, but responsibility and any shared costs are a matter to agree with your neighbour.

Can you match my existing fencing?

In most cases, yes. We can source panels and timber to blend with your current fence, or advise a full replacement if the existing run is failing.

How much does fencing cost?
